Alpenglow Ski Area a family-friendly environment.

Intermediate to Advanced-level Outdoor Enthusiasts and Families

Quiet and low-key, Alpenglow appeals to the Alaskan tele-skier, alpine skier or rider who wants to feel like they are in the backcountry but with the convenience and safety of a ski area. Families enjoy the area because it is safe and not crowded so kids stay in sight and don't get lost. Children who are not yet skiing build snow forts, sled and enjoy the other kid-friendly activities that parents provide in the sunny, comfortable lodge. A convenient alternative to the backcountry, we are also being discovered by a new generation of skiers and boarders.

Chair 1 and the T-Bar are open, and we open Chair 2 whenever the weather (wind and temps) and snow conditions allow - the

decision to open it or not is made each day once we assess the safety conditions.  We are open from 10:30 - 5:30 in March with half day starting at 1:30 pm.  We will be able to stay open later as the daylight increases.
The Fill Your Belly Deli has added some new items to the menu including a baked potato bar and grilled cheese sandwiches for the kids!

Alpenglow Ski Area will be open weekends only with occasional school holidays thrown in for good measure.  Call the hotline at 428-1208 for updates Friday-Sunday.  We are a 501c3 non-profit organization run by volunteers.
